Can you believe it’s been half a year since Cynthia and I got married? Okay, it’s only been a little over 5 months, but close enough!
Since the wedding day, a couple of people have asked me to upload the slideshow that played during the reception. I’m flattered to hear that people enjoyed the slideshow enough to want to re-watch it. I put in a lot of time and energy into the slideshow, and I’m glad it was well-received.
The Behind-the-Scenes Work
My love for movies was the main inspiration for the slideshow. I knew I wanted to use movie quotes to tell our “love story” so I spent endless hours locating the clips and cutting them into short snippets. I was pretty much sick of all movies at this point.
The songs used in the slideshow were Plain White T’s “1, 2, 3, 4” and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” The songs were picked out weeks in advance of working on the slideshow. I lost count of how many love songs I listened to, each time trying to envision how I could work with the beats and lyrics of the song.
It wouldn’t be a slideshow without the pictures. Cynthia and I worked separately to find pictures of ourselves, our family and friends, and any other pictures we wanted to include.
If creating this slideshow was a full-time job, it probably would’ve taken me a full workweek to get this finished. From the researching to prepping to editing, the entire process was no joke!
The Final Result
And without further ado, here it is!
